People are always asking us what we're naming this kid. And while we're probably not going to tell, we did make this helpful list.
This name actually did make the short list. The very short list. But we didn’t want to name our son JUST Max. We also didn’t really like any of the longer names associated with it: Maximilian, Maxwell. That’s why it eventually got scratched.
But the name we picked is perfect. It has all the qualities we loved about Max, but we are just as in love with the full version. We can’t wait to share it with you. Only 2 more days!

Sorry to the Nates and Nathans we know, but around July 4th all I can think about is weird people shoving hundreds of soggy hot dogs down their throats until they puke. Not really the feeling we’re going for.
I saw My Cousin Vinny for the first time the other night and really enjoyed it. And of course, every time you enjoy something, you should consider naming your child after it.
